Christopher Cox (born 1949 – died in 1990) in Manhattan, New York City) was an American writer. ==Biography== Cox, who was gay, is perhaps best known for his collaboration within The Violet Quill.〔Edmund White, 'EDMUND WHITE', ''A Boy's Own Story'', London:Picador, 1994〕 He later went on to become senior editor of Ballantine Books.〔( Christopher Cox; Editor, 41 )〕 He was also a man of the theatre. He appeared in William Shakespeare's ''Two Gentlemen of Verona'', and later worked at the Jean Cocteau Theater, New York City.〔 He died of HIV in 1990.〔 His birth name was Ray Cox Jr.
